The Music Festival Season Has Arrived

Festival season has well and truly kicked off across Australia, where dance, blues, jazz, indie, rock and folk music are all on offer. With a jam-packed calendar set to last the summer, it’s musical bliss for Australian festival-goers.

Just a couple of days ago, tents were pitched in the lush, rural settings of Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania; for Woodford Folk and Falls festivals. The camping experience combines great music and gorgeous surroundings, whilst bringing the fans into the New Year.

Then today, Pyramid Rock and Peats Ridge started, but if you haven’t been able to get yourself to a festival – never fear! Peats Ridge are filming all the action and bringing it you to live on their YouTube channel.

No doubt these festivals are a great way to open 2012 and January is set to be just as busy (and fun)! With Summafielddayze, Southbound and Sydney Festival taking place in their respective locations. Big Day Out, Good Vibrations and St Jeromes Laneway Festival will all be venturing across the nation.

Loads of international acts are set to headline and draw the crowds, but don’t miss out on all the talented local outfits; chances are you’ll find a few gems to add to your summer playlist.

If you love music, Australia has a festival experience for you.
